Welcome to Kinney American Barn Co. I'm Austin Kinney, and I'm proud to continue the family business, American Barns, that has served North Texas for the past 27 years. Growing up in this industry, I had the opportunity to learn every part of the business from my parents, who built this company from the ground up through hard work, integrity, and a commitment to quality craftmanship. From an early age, I was taught the importance of thoughtful design, strong customer relationships, and creating buildings that are beautiful, functional, and built to last. I was also fortunate to gain years of valuable experience that helped shape the way I approach every project today. As my parents step into retirement, I am honored to carry on the reputation they worked so hard to build and continue doing things the right way. 

At Kinney American Barn Co., we specialize in custom post frame Horse Barns, Barndominiums, Venues, Workshops, and Agricultural Buildings designed for durability, functionality, and long-term value. I believe post frame construction is one of the best building methods available today because it offers major advantages in strength, efficiency and beauty over Texas traditional metal-framed buildings. The deeply embedded posts provide exceptional structural stability while also allowing the building to better handle shifting soil and harsh Texas weather conditions such high winds (100-200mph). Post-frame construction ties the roof, walls, and foundation together. Wind forces are distributed downward to the deeply anchored posts rather than relying on weak wall-to-floor connections. Post frame buildings also naturally offer better thermal performance and reduced condensation compared to many all-metal structures, helping improve energy efficiency and comfort over time. Steel roofing and siding are tightly fastened with screws, providing superior durability against wind uplift compared to traditional shingles or vinyl siding. In many cases, post frame construction can also be completed more efficiently and cost-effectively without sacrificing appearance or quality.
